While cooking dinner I noticed a Ziploc bag on the kitchen counter and suddenly had a vivid flashback to a particular episode of thirtysomething. Why, I wondered, am I thinking of a show I hardly watched?

Then in a flash I knew I’d first seen an advertisement for Ziploc’s “yellow and blue make green” bag during that specific episode; also, I knew that a blue Volvo had been involved, but that’s not so shocking considering the program.

There is much to be scared of in this little memory spasm of mine; so much, in fact, that I’m just going to pretend it never happened.
